BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Fixed asset investments in China decreased by 5.7 percent in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year.

According to data announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday, total investment during the said period amounted to 22.64 trillion yuan (about 3.33 trillion US dollars).

Excluding real estate investments, fixed asset investments decreased by 2.7 percent in the first six months.

Looking at the sectoral distribution, investments in intellectual property products grew by 9.4 percent compared to the same period last year. This means a growth increase of 1.5 percentage points compared to the first quarter of the year.

While infrastructure investments decreased by 2.4 percent compared to the same period last year, manufacturing investments also decreased by 1.2 percent.
