On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, a boat tour was organized on the Bosphorus with the children of martyrs, their families and veterans.
In cooperation with the Presidency Directorate of Communications, Istanbul Governorship, Coast Guard Command, Istanbul Family and Social Services Provincial Directorate and 15 July Association, a Bosphorus tour was held on the Bosphorus with children of martyrs, families of martyrs and veterans on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Coast Guard Commander Vice Admiral Ahmet Kendir, Istanbul Deputy Governor Okan Leblebicier, Coast Guard Marmara and Straits Regional Commander Rear Admiral Serkan Tezel, Istanbul Family and Social Services Provincial Director Ömer Turan, Sarıyer District Governor Metin Maytalman also attended the event. Relatives of martyrs and veterans who were brought to the Coast Guard Marmara and Straits Regional Command in Sarıyer boarded 'TCSG GÜVEN', one of the 4 large search and rescue ships affiliated with the Coast Guard Command.
Within the scope of the program, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Istanbul Provincial Directorate and the accompanying delegation met with the relatives of martyrs and veterans for lunch. After the meal, Yiğitbaşı and his entourage visited the families of the martyrs and veterans and chatted. Yiğitbaşı held Yiğit Hamza, the son of July 15 veteran Fatih Oğuz Güler, in his arms and loved him. Afterwards, the relatives of the martyrs and veterans set out to sea, chatted with the Coast Guard personnel accompanying them and took a souvenir photo. As part of the program, guests were also offered desserts and drinks.
'JULY 15 IS THE AWAKENING OF A NATION, THE RESURRECTION OF A NATION'
Martyr Murat Kocatürk's father, Bayram Kocatürk, said, "July 15 is the awakening of a nation, the resurrection of a nation. I lost my son. It is God's will. He went to Turkmen Mountain for jihad 3 years ago. He said there was no martyrdom there, so he came. He came here on July 15, but two months before. He was saying every day; "I will be a martyr, father." He was telling all his friends and his sister, "I will be a martyr." But it turns out that my Lord was giving him the good news, giving us the good news of martyrdom. He left on the last day. 'I'll wander around and come back,' he said. But he left as if saying goodbye. Then I said, 'My child is your trust, and I entrust his trust to you.' My Lord truly took care of His trust. He honored him with martyrdom. From now on, no one will be able to stage a coup, no one will be able to make this nation do such an ordered thing. He was martyred in Saraçhane. "May God not let him live again, but let's be vigilant," he said.
'EVERYTHING THAT WAS THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF THIS COUNTRY WAS A TARGET FOR THEM'
Yavuz Yanmaz, who is a veteran, said, "It is the 10th anniversary of the coup. 10 years have passed very quickly since the coup. The Bosphorus Bridge, as it was known then, is today on the 15 July Martyrs' Bridge. I became a veteran at around 01:00, 01:30 at night, then I was shot. Many of our friends were injured on the bridge, many of our friends were martyred. That day, those who tried to mean the homeland, the unity of the nation, this nation's It was an attempt to harm the future, according to some, it was an invasion, but it was definitely a treacherous aim. If we can come together here peacefully today, it is thanks to our brothers who took to the streets on July 15, gave up their loved ones and became veterans. May God bless our veterans and have mercy on our martyrs. I was shot in the foot later. "Unfortunately, I was shot in the ambulance while I was in the ambulance. Martyr Çetin Can's mother, Emine Can, said, "We are sad and grieving. The only consolation for us is that he is a martyr. It is nothing else, because his pain is great. The pain of the parents is not forgotten. It is not something to be forgotten. My child was martyred while praying and ablution. He was martyred on the Bosphorus Bridge. My son went with his wife, he was not with me. He was standing in Üsküdar. I was in Sarıyer. "They went to Kısıklı with his wife. They came from there and came to the bridge. Snipers shot him in the heart and he was martyred," he said.
Emin Kurdaş said, "May God not let us experience those days again, may our state not suffer. It was a sad situation then. I don't want to remember that night. When our president said 'take to the streets', we went out and walked. Our plan was to go to the bridge, but when we went to Borsa Istanbul, they shot at me while I was passing by, and I was injured. It was a sad situation. We shouldn't let such things happen again. When we think of the first night, it still comes to our mind the same way. That evening was a very scary night. "There were people injured, we had friends killed. It was a sad night, but I still don't want to remember that night. The people prevailed. Common sense prevailed."
