US President Donald Trump announced that Iran has allowed a US citizen who has been detained in the country since December 2024 to leave the country.
In his post on his virtual media account, US President Donald Trump said, "Iran allowed an American citizen who was unjustly detained in December 2024, during the presidency of 'Sleepy' Joe Biden, to leave the country. He is now safely out of Iran and in good condition. The United States appreciates this show of goodwill by Iran."
