In the statement made by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that a civilian merchant ship named Atlas Bey, belonging to a Turkish company, was attacked by a UAV at around 15.15 local time off the coast of Odessa.
In the statement, it was stated that 11 of the crew serving on the ship were Azerbaijani citizens, and except for the ship captain, who was an Azerbaijani citizen, the other crew were disembarked in Odessa.
In the statement, it was stated that the health condition of the Azerbaijani citizens who were brought ashore was good, and that activities to find the missing ship captain were continuing.
The statement also emphasized that Azerbaijan's Embassy in Kiev is in constant contact with relevant institutions and continues its activities to provide the necessary consular support to Azerbaijani citizens.
