It was reported that the return process of 55 Iranian fishermen detained by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Coast Guard units due to border violation has begun, and 14 more of them have arrived in Iran.
According to Iran's official news agency IRNA, following the efforts of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Abu Dhabi Embassy, 55 Iranian fishermen detained by the UAE Coast Guard units in recent months have started to return to the country.
According to the statement made by the Iranian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, 14 more of the fishermen in question reached Iran by sea. Previously, on July 10 and July 13, 11 fishermen returned to Iran via Abu Dhabi-Mashhad flights after the necessary documents were issued.
In the statement, it was stated that the process regarding the fishermen was followed closely, and that the documents were prepared and their tickets were arranged for the remaining 30 fishermen to return to Iran.
It was shared that the fishermen in question have been in detention centers and detention centers for more than 2 months.
