The woman, who was detained on the grounds that she was trying to kidnap a baby from the newborn section of the hospital, was referred to the courthouse.
The incident took place in the newborn unit of Şanlıurfa Training and Research Hospital at around 03.40 the previous night. Allegedly, H.İ.Ö. had a miscarriage before. A woman named went to the neonatal unit disguised as a nurse and said that she would take a baby to the intensive care unit. Suspicious of the woman's condition, the hospital officer wanted to accompany her to the intensive care unit. The woman panicked because the hospital staff did not leave her side and ran away, leaving the baby. Upon being notified, police teams went to the scene and detained the woman, whom they identified from the security camera footage, in Eyyübiye district by Eyyübiye District Police Department Investigation Bureau teams.
