Ahmet Cingöz, head coach of Mardin 1969, which last competed in the 1st League in the 2007-2008 season under the name Mardinspor, stated that they could not fully realize their desired planning due to the challenging transfer process, but they are continuing negotiations with players who will meet the fans' expectations.

The red-and-navy blue team, continuing their new season preparations at a hotel on the Bolu Abant road, is holding double training sessions daily under Cingöz's management. Focusing on tactical organizations in addition to physical activities, the Mardin representative aims to address their pre-season shortcomings through friendly matches.

Evaluating the camp activities to an AA reporter, Cingöz stated that they had the opportunity to closely observe young players during the first phase of the camp, where they focused on physical conditioning.

Cingöz explained that in the second phase of the camp, they carried out activities aimed at both physical development and establishing the playing system, saying, "As our transfers arrive, the quality of our team will further increase. We have friendly matches on July 17th and 21st. We have planned two friendly matches in the second phase and two in the third phase. I believe we will prepare for the league in the most appropriate way during this process."

"The transfer window is more difficult this season than ever before"

Ahmet Cingöz stated that transfer activities are meticulously continuing, but they are facing more difficulties in squad planning this season compared to previous years, saying, "For years, I have worked as a sporting director, assistant coach, and head coach at various clubs. This is the first time I am experiencing such a difficult transfer period. Although we cannot fully realize our desired planning, our negotiations continue with very valuable players who will be fitting for Mardinspor and meet our fans' expectations."

Cingöz, stating that they expect transfers to be finalized shortly and will announce important names, said, "We would have liked to complete all our transfers before the first camp period and work with a full squad in friendly matches, but at the beginning of the season, this process is challenging not only for us but for all clubs. Especially in international transfers, the process extends even further."

Cingöz stated that foreign footballers initially had reservations about transfers due to them being a newly promoted team, but players who know Mardin well are receptive to the club.

Cingöz said, "After properly researching Mardin, there were players who genuinely wanted to come," and noted that they are in the process of reaching agreements with names suitable for the club's goals.

Emphasizing his trust in the current squad, the experienced technical director said, "All our players, both those remaining from last season and those who joined us later, are very valuable. Everyone who wears the Mardinspor jersey will go out on the field and give their all. I believe we will make a very good start to the league."

"I have never looked down in my life"

Cingöz pointed out that Trendyol 1. Lig will be one of the strongest organizations in recent years, drawing attention to the fact that many established clubs will compete in the same league.

Stating that the league will be quite challenging, Cingöz continued:

"This is the first time in recent years I've seen such a high-quality league. There are 6-7 teams that will contend for the championship. We will experience one of the strongest seasons where major clubs meet in the same league. That's why we are not rushing with transfers. We are not just signing players for the sake of making transfers. Footballers who will wear the Mardinspor crest must be suitable for our club in terms of both character and quality."
