The incident took place around 12:00 in the Üniversitesi Mahallesi of Avcılar district. Allegedly, a fire was lit by unidentified persons on the ground floor of the 5-storey building, which was evacuated due to demolition within the scope of urban transformation. The fire quickly ignited the surrounding piles of rubble. Neighborhood residents noticed the fire growing in a short time and reported the situation to the fire brigade.
