Cincin Watermelon, which has become the brand of Aydın's Koçarlı district, was harvested with a ceremony, and the journey of the watermelons loaded onto trucks began in Turkish markets.

Aydın, one of Türkiye's important agricultural regions, draws attention in watermelon production this year as well. The first harvest excitement was experienced in Aydın's geographically marked Cincin watermelon, which is one of the most preferred watermelons after Adana. While the producers who enter the slaughterhouse early in the morning to meet the demands from many provinces, especially the Aegean Region, make intense efforts to meet the supply and demand, marketers who come from many provinces to buy Aydın's famous Cincin watermelon enter the watermelon orchard early in the morning and load their products into the vehicles.

The harvest season of Cincin watermelon, known for its unique taste, color, juicy structure and ideal skin thickness, started with the "Harvest Field Day" event held in the Cincin District of Koçarlı, where the excitement of the first harvest was experienced. In the event held under the leadership of Koçarlı District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, after the blessings made by the district mufti, the producers were wished for a fruitful and profitable season.

It was stated that the Cincin watermelon, which has attracted great attention from consumers both in Aydın and in many provinces of Türkiye for years, is produced in an area of ​​​​approximately a thousand decares in Koçarlı, and that the product also makes a significant contribution to the district's economy. Koçarlı District Governor Ramazan Taşkın, Koçarlı District Director of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Selli, ADÜ Faculty of Agriculture Dean Mustafa Sürmen, Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman A. Bahri Erdel, Koçarlı Chamber of Agriculture President Taner Güneş, institution chiefs, neighborhood headmen and many producers attended the harvest event.

Officials speaking at the event emphasized that Cincin watermelon is one of the important agricultural brands of the district and stated that quality products are obtained every year with the efforts of the producers.
