Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Minister of Labor and Social Security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), who is in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, met with Hatice El Makhzoumi, Minister of Family and Human Rights Development of Somalia.
According to the statement made by the TRNC Ministry of Labor and Social Security, TRNC Minister of Labor and Social Security Hasipoğlu, who attended the 9th Ministerial Conference titled "The Role of Women in the Development of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member Countries", met with Somalia Minister of Family and Human Rights Development Makhzoumi.
It was reported that during the meeting, concrete steps that could be taken to further the friendly relations between TRNC and Somalia were discussed.
It was reported that the proposal to establish friendship groups between the TRNC and Somali parliaments was discussed at the meeting and an agreement was reached on mutual visits between the two countries.
In the statement, it was stated that Hasipoğlu and Makhzoumi evaluated the cooperation opportunities that could be developed in the fields of family, labor force, education and social policies, and that they reached a consensus on increasing joint activities with Somali students studying in TRNC for the workforce in the country.
Making evaluations about the meeting, Hasipoğlu stated that the constructive dialogue established by the TRNC with friendly and brotherly countries on international platforms is getting stronger day by day, and pointed out that increasing mutual contacts will further the relations between the two countries.
Makhzoumi also stated that they are pleased to always have sincere and strong relations with the TRNC and thanked Minister Hasipoğlu.
