Visits were made to martyrs' cemeteries in Mersin, Hatay and Osmaniye on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In Mersin, relatives of the martyrs visited the martyrs' cemetery in Asri Cemetery in Toroslar district.
Families who took care of the graves decorated with Turkish flags read the Quran and prayed.
Governor Atilla Toros, Mediterranean Region and Garrison Commander Rear Admiral Soner Kazankaya, Provincial Police Chief Fahri Aktaş, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Ercan Atasoy and Coast Guard Mediterranean Regional Commander Rear Admiral Gökmen Güçyen and other relevant people met with the families of the martyrs and left carnations on the graves.
A commemoration ceremony was held at Antakya Martyrs' Cemetery in Hatay on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
After reading the Quran in the program, prayers were made for the martyrs.
Governor Mustafa Masatlı, Garrison Commander Brigadier General Ali Mete, Provincial Police Chief Rüştü Yılmaz, institution directors, party representatives, martyrs' relatives, veterans and their families attended the ceremony.
The program was completed by leaving carnations on the graves of the martyrs of the protocol members.

In addition to the families and relatives of the martyrs, Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti, AK Party Osmaniye Deputy Seydi Gülsoy, Garrison Commander and 12th Commando Brigade Commander Brigadier General Erkan Günal, Mayor İbrahim Çenet, military and civil servants attended the ceremony.
After a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, a respectful shot was fired in the program.
After reading the Quran, Provincial Mufti Ahat Taşcı prayed for the martyrs.
