In the accident that took place in Sarıköy location of Amasya's Merzifon district, E.V., who was traveling from Istanbul to Ordu direction. The double-decker passenger bus under his management overturned after its driver lost control of the steering wheel for an undetermined reason.
Following the accident, police, health and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notice of the surrounding citizens to the 112 Emergency Call Center. The teams reached the area in a short time and carried out the safe evacuation of the passengers and provided first aid to the injured.
After the passengers on the bus were evacuated, the injured were transferred to the surrounding health institutions by ambulance. Following the accident, traffic and security measures were taken in the region and an investigation was launched into the incident.
Amasya Governor Önder Bakan stated in his statement that there were 75 passengers and 5 crew members on the bus. Governor Minister emphasized that there was no loss of life in the accident and stated that the health conditions of the injured were being closely monitored.
