Support for forest villagers continues with the Buffalo Breeding Project, implemented by the Kütahya Regional Directorate of Forestry within the scope of the ORKÖY standard project.

Within the scope of the project, a total of 33 families in Çobanköy, a village of Tavşanlı district, received ORKÖY loan support: 9 families in 2020, 10 families in 2024, and 14 families in 2025.

In Karaöz village, part of the central district, a total of 31 families benefited from ORKÖY buffalo breeding loan support within the framework of the "Project Village" implementation: 9 families in 2022, 20 families in 2023, and 2 families in 2024.

As part of the support, each family was provided with 3 buffaloes, offering animal support to a total of 64 families to contribute to production.

Officials from the Kütahya Regional Directorate of Forestry stated that the ORKÖY Buffalo Breeding Project aims to both increase the income level of forest villagers and contribute to the national and provincial economy, adding that support within the project's scope will continue in the upcoming period. - KÜTAHYA
