An old woman died after getting stuck in a malfunctioning elevator in Şahinbey district of Gaziantep.
66-year-old Hazne Öztürkmen, who lives in an 11-storey apartment building on Şehit Bünyamin Dinç Street in Akkent District, got stuck in the elevator that broke down on the 7th floor of the building.
After the residents of the apartment reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health, fire brigade and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Upon check-up by medical teams, it was determined that Öztürkmen had died.
After the investigation of the police teams at the scene, Hazne Öztürkmen's body was taken to the morgue of the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy.
