Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic will officiate the 2026 FIFA World Cup final match between Spain and Argentina.
The referee for the Spain - Argentina final match, to be played on Sunday, July 19, at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has been announced. Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic will officiate the match, which will take place at the New Jersey Stadium and kick off at 22:00 TSI. Vincic will be assisted by his compatriots Tomaz Klancnik and Andraz Kovacic. The fourth official for the match will be Adham Makhadmeh from the Jordan Football Association. Mohammad Alkalaf, also from Jordan, will serve as the reserve assistant referee for the encounter.
Slavko Vincic previously officiated the matches between Brazil - Morocco and Jordan - Algeria during the group stage of the 2026 World Cup. Vincic also refereed the Mexico - Ecuador match played in the Round of 32.
Vincic, who has previously officiated UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League finals in his career, also refereed the France - Spain semi-final at EURO 2024.
The Slovenian referee had also officiated the Galatasaray - Fenerbahçe derby in the Süper Lig on February 24, 2025, which ended in a goalless draw. - ISTANBUL
