Burak Özçoban was re-elected as the club president at the extraordinary general assembly held today of Sivasspor, one of the TFF 1st League teams.
The general assembly held at Sivas Chamber of Commerce and Industry started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem. Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, Mayor Adem Uzun, Sivasspor Club President Burak Özçoban, provincial protocol and many delegates attended the meeting. At the general assembly held with a single list, current president Burak Özçoban was re-elected as the club president.
'WE COULD NOT LET THE CLUB GO INTO THE CLASS'
Speaking at the general assembly, president Özçoban stated that he decided to be a candidate again because there were no candidates for the club in the general assemblies, and said, "We could not allow the club to go further into the abyss because no one came forward. We took on this responsibility again with 26 people in total. We decided to do this within a week. We met with our football players, brought in people who were not there. Training continued. We agreed with our coach İsmet Taşdemir again. He came today, he is currently in Sivas. He came with a great character. He is very big." "Even though there were offers from the competitors, our responsibility is to manage the financial structure properly by further balancing it. Everyone has done their part in this process. Now, the person who needs to help us is the fans. If the fans support us, we will be stronger."
