While the repercussions of the gambling images about the artist Haluk Levent, who was detained within the scope of the investigation carried out against the Dude Association, continue, new allegations regarding the incident have come to the fore.
After the video recordings in which Haluk Levent was seen at the roulette table in a casino were leaked, journalist Sema Kızılarslan shared new details about the images on social media. Kizilarslan claimed that the famous artist went abroad to gamble very recently and said: "The place where Haluk Levent gambles is Cyprus. The last date he went to Cyprus to gamble is 11 May 2026..."
Haluk Levent, who flatly denied the accusations against him during his interrogation at the police station, argued that all financial processes of the association have been transparent since its establishment. Stating that he covered all operational expenses of Dude from his own pocket in the first years, the artist said that the huge budget of 4.3 billion lira collected especially during the earthquake period was under the control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was transferred directly to the earthquake victims. In his statement, Levent denied the allegations that the donation money was transferred to personal investments, saying, "I never took money from the Dude Association and played in the stock market."
Haluk Levent, who admitted that he was stuck in a huge debt in his personal life due to stock market investments, described this situation as a "bad weakness". The famous artist, who stated in his statement that he activated the association's documents in times of financial crisis, made the following striking defense: "I used checks and bills belonging to my friend as collateral from time to time. This situation can be considered as irregularity, but it is not corruption."
