704 suspects were detained by the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Justice in operations against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) in 81 provinces.
Yesterday, under the coordination of the Ministries of Justice and Internal Affairs, operations were carried out against 968 suspects by the chief prosecutor's office of 81 provinces within the scope of investigations against FETO.
According to information obtained from judicial sources, the number of suspects for whom detention orders were issued increased to 973. The number of suspects detained within the scope of the operations was 704. Activities continue to capture 269 suspects.
In addition, it was learned that of the 704 suspects detained, 170 were active public personnel, 6 were retired public personnel, 44 were dismissed public personnel, and 484 were private sector employees and civilian suspects.
It was determined that 97 of the 170 public personnel in custody were employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (1 police chief, 1 commissioner, 94 police officers, 1 gendarmerie personnel) and 14 of them were employees of the Ministry of Justice (1 court clerk, 8 correctional officers and 5 freelance lawyers).
