The number of people detained within the scope of the investigation carried out against the Friends Association under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has increased to 37. It was also learned that 3 suspects were in prison for other crimes. On the other hand, it was requested that trustees be appointed by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) for 4 companies considered to be under the control of Haluk Levent's brother Berkant Emergency.

An investigation was launched against Haluk Levent by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office upon allegations of irregularities in the AHBAP Association, the non-governmental organization he founded in 2017. Haluk Levent was detained in Bursa within the scope of the investigation launched against him on allegations of "opposition to the law on associations", "laundering of assets resulting from crime" and "membership in a organisation". While 23 suspects were detained in the first stage of the operations, it was learned that 14 of the 17 suspects for whom detention orders were given in the second wave of the operation were referred to custody. Thus, the number of detainees increased to 37. It was learned that the other 3 suspects were in prison for other crimes.

In the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command KOM Branch Directorate under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was reported that investigations and investigations were continuing regarding the crimes of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime", "laundering of assets resulting from crime", "opposition to the Tax Procedure Law" and "opposition to the Law on Associations". In the statement of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that some of the donations made to the Friends Association were transferred to the personal account of Haluk Levent's assistant Y.K., and from there, a total of 125 million 765 thousand TL was sent to the accounts of individuals and companies connected to Haluk Levent's brother Berkant Emergency. In the statement, it was stated that upon the determinations that unfair profits were obtained through the money movements in question and that the donations made to the association were used for purposes other than their intended purpose, a simultaneous search and detention order was issued for 17 suspects in Istanbul, Izmir, Kocaeli and Muğla on July 14.

Within the scope of the investigation, it was also informed that TMSF officials were requested to be appointed as trustees to a total of 4 companies, namely Istanbul-based Koşan Adam Music Production, Koşan Trade Gıda Temizlik, Palmak Orman Ürünleri and Muğla-based Kuraf Sahne Tasarım ve Organizasyon, which are considered to be under the control of Berkant Emergency.

It was learned that Haluk Levent's brother Berkant Emergency, M. Sait K. and A. S., who are on the suspect list announced by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, are still detained within the scope of the corruption investigation carried out against the Şile Municipality in Istanbul.

Other suspects against whom action was taken within the scope of the operation are Ç. A., G. A., S. K., B.C., A. T., B. Ö., A. S. A., M.K., A.K., C.K., G.K., B.U., M.U. and E.K. were announced.
