One more person was sent to prison in connection with the armed fight in Samsun's Canik district, in which one person died, over a 700 lira debt issue. The number of detainees in the incident increased to 2.
The incident took place on Friday, July 10, in Yavuzselim District of Canik district. Allegedly, an argument broke out between the parties because the debt of 700 lira for 7 beers purchased from a buffet had not been paid for approximately 5 months. The argument that escalated in a short time turned into an armed fight. As a result of the fight with a rifle and a gun, Oğuz President (35) was shot in the right groin and seriously injured. The President died despite all the interventions made in the private hospital where he was taken by private vehicle.
Canik District Police Department Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau teams started operations after the incident and detained Ertan T. (31) and Yaşar T. (38), sons of kiosk owner Hasan T., along with 1 unlicensed rifle and 1 unlicensed gun that were determined to be used in the incident. Police teams also detained kiosk owner Hasan T. (61) and his other son Hasan T. (33).
The kiosk owner and his 3 sons, whose procedures were completed at the Canik District Police Department, were sent to Samsun Courthouse on Saturday. While Ertan T. was arrested by the court on duty and sent to prison, Hasan T. and his sons Yaşar T. and Hasan T. were released by the court on condition of judicial control.
Yaşar T., who was alleged to have fired a gun into the air during the fight that ended in death, was taken into custody again upon the objection of the prosecutor. Yaşar T., who was referred to Samsun Courthouse today, was arrested by the court on duty and sent to prison. -SAMSUN
