Arrested defendant Syrian national Aref Elhusseın (29), who killed trans individual Nida Nazlıer (45) in ANTALYA, was sentenced to life imprisonment for "deliberate murder". The defendant was also sentenced to 7 years in prison for 'Theft'.

The incident took place on July 31 last year, around 17:00, on the 1st floor of the 5-storey building on Cebesoy Street, Zerdalikte Mahallesi, Muratpaşa district. Halil İ, who left his workplace. (23) went to the house where she lived with her friend Nida Nazlıer. Halil İ. entered the house and found Nazlıer covered in blood in the bathroom. The teams came to the address upon notice and determined that Nida Nazlıer, who received stab wounds to her throat and right and left face, lost her life. Halil İ., who found Nazlıer. His friend H.H., with whom he last spoke on the phone, came to the house to get keys. (39) was referred to custody.

Homicide Bureau teams identified the suspect by examining more than 80 security camera images. Aref Elhussein, a Syrian national who was determined to live in Güneş District of Kepez district, was caught during the operation. The suspect's identity was determined through fingerprint activity.

Halil İ. with Elhusseın. and H.H., after their statements, were subjected to a health check and sent to the courthouse. During the procedures at the hospital, a blood sample was taken from Aref Elhussein and it was seen that his right hand was bandaged. In his statement; Elhussein, who admitted his crime, said that he and Nida Nazlıer agreed on a relationship, and that during the argument, Nazlıer hit the mirror and broke the glass, attacked him with glass pieces and ran away after being covered in blood. While Aref Elhusseın, who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested for 'deliberate murder', Halil İ. and H.H. was released.

In the prepared indictment, Aref Elhusse, who also took part in his defense, claimed that the victim, whom he confessed to killing, sexually assaulted him. After the allegation, the suspect's internal body examination was performed by the decision of the Antalya 2nd Criminal Court of Peace. During the examination, no evidence of sexual assault was found. It was stated that the defendant's claim was aimed at getting rid of the crime. The indictment was accepted by the Antalya 4th High Criminal Court.

Detained defendant Aref Elhusseın, who was asked for aggravated life imprisonment on the charge of 'murder with monstrous feelings and torture', appeared before the judge at Antalya 4th High Criminal Court. Defendant Elhussein said, "I want mercy. I am very sorry and I regret going to him."

Defendant Aref Elhussein was sentenced to life imprisonment for "deliberate murder" and 7 years in prison for "Theft". There was no reduction in the defendant's sentence.
