Heavy rain in Artvin at night caused floods in Ardanuç district. Flood waters coming from the valleys dragged mud, rocks and stones with them, closing the village roads to traffic.
In Eşkinar village of Artvin's Ardanuç district, mud, stones and rock fragments coming from the stream beds after the heavy rain at night closed the village roads to transportation.
After the rain, puddles formed in many parts of the village, and the roads were covered with mud and piles of rubble. Special Provincial Administration teams, who were dispatched to the region upon notice, started operations with work machines at night.
After approximately two hours of intense activity, the mud, stones and rock fragments blocking the roads were cleared and transportation was restored.
On the other hand, some agricultural lands in the village were also flooded due to the flood. It was learned that the teams are continuing their damage assessment activities in the region. - ARTVIN
