7 suspects were detained in the operation against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) in 4 provinces centered in Artvin.
In the statement made by the Governorship, it was reported that the Provincial Gendarmerie Command Anti-Terrorism Branch Directorate was carrying out an activity regarding the crime of "opposition to the Law on the Prevention of Financing of Terrorism".
In the statement, it was stated that as a result of technical and physical monitoring that lasted approximately 7 months, "a simultaneous operation was carried out in 4 provinces centered in Artvin on July 13 against 7 suspects who were determined to have provided funds to the FETO/PDY armed terrorist organization."
In the statement, it was stated that 7 suspects were taken into custody during the operations carried out at 7 addresses in Artvin, Ankara, Istanbul and Kocaeli, and that the procedures of the suspects at the gendarmerie were continuing.
In the statement, it was also emphasized that the Provincial Gendarmerie Command continues its fight against terrorist organizations with determination in line with the goal of "Terror-free Türkiye" in order to ensure the peace and security of the people.
