An argument between two brothers in BAĞCILAR turned into a knife fight. One of the parties, Bayram Bozkurt, stabbed his brother Mücahit Bozkurt and seriously injured him. While Bozkurt, who was taken to the hospital, lost his life, his brother was caught with the knife he used in the incident.
The incident took place yesterday at around 08.15 in Çınar District. Allegedly, an argument that broke out between the two brothers for an unknown reason quickly escalated into a knife fight. One of the parties, Bayram Bozkurt, attacked his brother Mücahit Bozkurt with a knife. Muhammet Mücahit Bozkurt was injured, having received stab wounds to various parts of his body. Upon notice, emergency medical and police teams arrived at the scene.
Muhammet Mücahit Bozkurt, who was determined to be seriously injured in the incident during the checks of the medical teams, was taken to Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. Bozkurt could not be saved despite all the interventions made in the hospital.
Police teams affiliated with Bağcılar District Police Department launched an operation regarding the incident. In line with the statements of the mother and father, the older brother Bayram Bozkurt was caught in a short time, along with the knife he used in the attack. On the other hand, Muhammed Mücahit Bozkurt, who lost his life, was buried after the funeral prayer performed in Bağcılar at noon today.
Arif Aksu, a shopkeeper in the neighborhood, said, "The police, crime scene investigation teams and his father came. The police took one of them, handcuffed him, and took the body of the other. They said they were both brothers."
