One person died and one person was seriously injured in the car that caught fire after hitting the barriers in Malatya.
The accident occurred at noon in Yağmurlu Mahallesi, Akçadağ district, on the Northern Ring Road. Allegedly, a car traveling in the direction of Akçadağ crashed into the barriers as a result of its driver losing control of the steering wheel. The car, which went out of control due to the impact and was thrown to the side of the road, caught fire in a short time, and the flames in the vehicle spread to the apricot orchard on the side of the road.
Upon notice, fire brigade, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. While the flames were taken under control and extinguished with the intervention of the fire brigade, it was determined that A.E., who was in the vehicle, died at the scene during the check by the medical teams. M.A.E., who was seriously injured in the accident. After the first intervention of the medical teams at the scene, he was taken to Malatya Turgut Özal Medical Center by ambulance and received treatment.
