Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone President Cengiz Şimşek, in his message published on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, stated that the heroism of the Turkish nation in defending their will, democracy and state on the night of July 15 was one of the most important turning points in Türkiye's recent history.
President Cengiz Şimşek stated that the treacherous coup attempt on July 15, 2016 was failed thanks to the courage, determination and unwavering commitment of our beloved nation to democracy. Şimşek stated that the fact that millions of citizens defended their country without any discrimination that night showed the whole world that the will of the nation cannot be surrendered by any power, and noted that the Turkish nation will continue to stand with the same determination today as it did yesterday against all kinds of threats to its state, flag and independence.
Emphasizing that July 15 was not only the date when a coup attempt was prevented, but also stated that it took its place in history as the victory of democracy, national will and social solidarity, President Şimşek said, "Our spirit of unity and solidarity is our greatest strength in overcoming all the difficulties that Türkiye faces. As a nation, we will continue to act in line with common goals, protecting democratic values and social peace, for a stronger Turkey."
Stating that Türkiye has made significant progress in many areas in recent years, from security to economy, from production to exports, Şimşek stated that a Türkiye free from all forms of terrorism has strategic importance for the future of the country. Stating that the successful completion of the process carried out in line with the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey will ensure that an important problem that has been consuming the country's energy for years will be left behind, Şimşek noted that as the environment of peace and trust becomes permanent, Türkiye will be freed from its shackles, and development moves in all areas, especially investment, production, exports and employment, will gain a much stronger momentum.
Stating that they continue to contribute to Türkiye's production power as Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, Şimşek stated that a strong economy and strong democracy are two basic elements that complement each other. Stating that Türkiye will reach a much stronger position in global competition where production continues uninterrupted, the investment environment is strengthened and the climate of trust is reinforced, Şimşek emphasized that industrialists and manufacturers will continue their activities in line with the country's development goals.
