The fire, which broke out in an area of 20 decares in Bilecik, was extinguished before it spread to the surrounding forest area.
The fire occurred in the Sütlük village of Bilecik center. According to the information obtained, the cover fire spread over a wide area in a short time and affected an area of approximately 20 decares. After the forest fire was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, the situation was reported to the Bilecik Provincial Gendarmerie Command. Following the notice, gendarmerie, Forest Management Directorate and fire brigade were dispatched to the region. The cover fire, which grew in a short time and spread to an area of approximately 20 decares, was intervened by 7 personnel from 2 gendarmerie public order teams, as well as 2 flame extinguishing helicopters, 2 first response vehicles, 1 water tanker and 6 water tankers. As a result of the intensive activities carried out by the teams from the air and on the ground, the flames were taken under control and the flames were prevented from spreading to the surrounding forest area.
