A cortege was organized accompanied by a mehter band on the occasion of 'July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day'. Citizens attended the cortege with Turkish flags in their hands. Then the cortege ended at Peace Square. Bodrum District Governor Ali Sırmalı, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, District Garrison Commander Colonel Ayhan Ulutaş, Bodrum Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Murat Küçük, District Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant Colonel Kamil İncebacak, Coast Guard Commander Major Raşit Gödelek, District Police Chief Mehmet Darendeli, veterans, department chiefs, political party representatives and citizens attended the event held here. The program started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem. After the show of the Mehteran team, the July 15 video was shown. Within the scope of the program, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's speech was watched.
After the recitation of the Holy Quran, prayers were made for the martyrs. In the program where poems were also read, the teachers' choir sang heroic folk songs. At 00.13, sela was recited in all mosques.
