Entrance to forest areas in Bolu will not be allowed until September 30 due to the risk of flames.
In the statement made by the Governorship, it was stated that various measures were taken to protect the forests, considering the risk of forest fire due to the increase in air temperatures, low humidity and strong winds in the summer months.
In the statement, it was stated that entry to forest areas within the provincial borders was prohibited between July 15, 2026 and September 30, and that picnics can only be held between 10.00 and 20.00 in forest and nature parks, using stoves, barbecues, barbecues, picnic tubes and samovars, provided that ground fires are not lit.
In the statement, it was stated that only the use of picnic tubes would be allowed between the same hours in Abant National Park, and it was stated that it was prohibited to light any kind of fire, use barbecue, samovar, picnic tube, barbecue and similar equipment in all forest areas other than specified places and conditions.
In the statement, it was stated that within the scope of the measures taken to prevent forest fires, the use of fireworks, wish balloons and similar flammable materials that could cause fires in areas close to forested areas was prohibited, and citizens were asked to strictly comply with the decisions taken and to report situations that may pose a risk of flames to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
