More than 100 martyrs' belongings, especially those of July 15 martyr Ömer Halis Demir, are on display in a museum in Çankırı.
The belongings of martyrs displayed at the Martyrs' Museum in Çankırı deeply move visitors. The museum showcases items belonging to over 100 martyrs, including the boots of Ömer Halis Demir, who was martyred during the treacherous July 15 coup attempt. Initially established to exhibit the belongings of martyrs from Çankırı, the museum later acquired items from martyrs in different cities, which were collected from their families.

Mehmet Uçar, Çankırı Branch President of the Türkiye Veterans and Martyrs' Families Foundation, stating that the museum receives great interest from citizens, said, "The belongings of all our martyrs are exhibited here. This is the only local museum in Turkey affiliated with the Ministry of Culture. The museum houses not only the belongings of our July 15 martyrs but also those of our other martyrs. For example, the belongings of Ömer Halisdemir, Cennet Yiğit, and Gülşah Güler are located here. The boots Ömer Halisdemir was wearing when he shot Semih Terzi are displayed in our museum. The personal belongings and uniforms of special operations police officers Gülşah Güler and Cennet Yiğit are also here. The uniforms of our other martyrs and the items they used at the time of their martyrdom are also exhibited here. Groups, students, and local residents visit the museum. Groups and students from outside the city also tour the museum. The presence of the belongings of our martyrs from outside the city, known for their heroism, and our own martyrs from Çankırı, provides visitors with very emotional moments." - ÇANKIRI
