Two defendants, who were tried on the grounds that they defrauded a citizen who was seeking healing for his wife's psychological illness in Kocaeli, of 130 thousand liras with lies such as "Jinns want blood" and "Non-alcoholic saffron will be brought from abroad" to write amulets, were sentenced to a total of 9 years and 10 months in prison.

Claiming that he could fix this situation, but that a lot of sacrifices would have to be made for this, Y.C. also said that the demons were demanding blood. It was also stated that Y.C. claimed that the saffron plant was needed for writing amulets, that the saffron in Türkiye was alcoholic, and that he received a total of 130 thousand liras from H.D. on the grounds that the saffron to be brought from abroad was high in cost. Later, upon the complaint of the old man who was suspicious of the situation, Y.C. and H.S. He was sent into custody.

Suspect Y.C., in his statement in the indictment, said, "H.D. came to my workplace. When he saw the amulet around my neck, he asked where I got it. I told him that the amulet was written by H.Ş. in Sakarya. When he asked for his number, I gave him his number. H.Ş. wrote several amulets to H.D. and received 500-1000 TL in return. I do not accept the accusations."

H.S. (75) said in his statement, "I was working as a medium before, but I quit. At that time, I was writing amulets for some people. I also wrote to Y.C.. I was getting a small amount of money because the ink of the amulets I wrote was made of saffron. I did not receive that much money from H.D., as he said."

In the indictment prepared, the undetained defendants Y.C. and H.S. A prison sentence of 3 to 10 years was requested for him for "fraud by exploiting religious beliefs and emotions in unity of opinion and action". It was also requested that the defendants be punished for not less than 3 months for the crime of "violating the Law No. 677 on the Prohibition and Abolition of Lodges, Lodges, Mausoleums and Certain Titles".

At the hearing held at Kocaeli 4th High Criminal Court, the undetained defendants Y.C. (45) and H.Ş. (75) and victim H.D.
