Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer published a message on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his message, Sezer stated that the 10th anniversary of the elimination of the July 15 treacherous coup attempt, which targeted the survival of the state, the unity and solidarity of the nation, democracy and national will, was understood with the belief and determination that "the will is ours, the victory is ours."
Sezer stated that on the night of July 15, 2016, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Turkish nation shielded its chest against tanks, weapons and treason, keeping the love of the homeland above all else, and emphasized that the epic written that night was the strongest sign of the nation's will to protect its independence, democracy and future.
Stating that the treacherous attempt failed, it was once again written in history that no center of treason could succeed against the unity and solidarity of the Turkish nation, Sezer said:
"In the intervening decade, we know with the same faith and determination that national will is the greatest strength of this beloved nation and democracy is the strongest guarantee of our common future. Our state will continue its fight against all kinds of terrorist organizations and treacherous attempts targeting the peace, security and indivisible integrity of our country with the same determination and determination.
On this meaningful day, the July 15 commemoration tents to be established on Saraçlar Street in order to keep the spirit of July 15 alive and pass it on to future generations will be meaningful meeting areas where our citizens can feel the events of that night more closely, meet with historical memory and experience the spirit of national unity.
