Metin Arslan, who was martyred in Istanbul during the July 15 coup attempt of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), was commemorated at his grave in Karabük.
In the program organized by the Karabük Governorship within the scope of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events, the grave of Arslan, who was shot in the head and martyred while resisting the coup plotters in front of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, was visited in the Eğirbeli Cemetery.
After reading the Quran and praying, Governor Oktay Çağatay, protocol members and the family of the martyr left carnations on the grave.
Protocol members also left carnations on the graves of mother Şazi, who died on September 17, 2017, and father Zeki Arslan, who died on October 10, 2020.
Deputy Governor Kerem Süleyman Yüksel, the elder sisters of the martyr Fatma Arslan Ataman and Nurcan Arslan, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel İsmail Gökcek, Provincial Police Chief Ahmet Canver, institution managers and relevant people attended the program.
