The building, which remained idle for many years in the Gerze district of Sinop, was put into public service after the activities carried out. Gerze District Governorship and various public institutions moved to the new service building and started to serve citizens.
The first step for the building converted into a new service building was taken on November 22, 2024. In this context, the transformation activities initiated in March 2025 were completed. The building, which has a usable area of approximately 1600 square meters, started to host public institutions with its modern activity areas. In the new service building, the District Governorate Registry Office, the Property Directorate, the Population Directorate, the National Real Estate Directorate, the District Special Administration Directorate and the Village Services Union will provide services. Thus, it is aimed to improve the physical conditions of public institutions and enable citizens to carry out their transactions in a faster and more comfortable environment. The existing government office building will continue to be used. Gerze Courthouse and the Land Registry and Cadastre Directorate will continue to serve in the building.
As you may remember, a new government office was planned to be built on the land of the former military branch in Gerze, and the project, which was estimated to cost approximately 122 million lira, could not be implemented due to the savings measures implemented after the February 6 earthquakes. Instead, it was decided to evaluate the building, which has been idle for many years. Thanks to the project, which was completed with an investment of approximately 25.5 million lira, significant savings were achieved in public resources and a modern service building was provided to the district. - SINOP
