Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office reported that 25 suspects were sent to prison during the investigation into the suspects who were determined to have purchased obscene images involving children.
In the statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that, under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Istanbul Police Department's Cyber Crimes Department was carrying out activities against the sexual abuse of children.
In the statement, it was reported that the suspect M.Y., who was found to have obtained and sold obscene images featuring children through a social networking application within the scope of the activities carried out, was sent to prison on May 4.
In the statement, it was stated that an investigation was launched against the suspects who were considered to have purchased obscene images featuring children from M.Y. in the ongoing activities, and in this context, a simultaneous search and seizure was carried out at the residence addresses of the suspects on 11-12 June and a large amount of digital evidence and materials were seized.
In the statement, it was reported that 27 suspects were identified as a result of the examination of these materials, 25 of the suspects for whom detention orders were issued were captured, and activities to capture 2 suspects were continuing.
In the statement of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that 25 suspects who were detained were sent to prison by the criminal judgeship of peace to which they were referred.
