A commemoration ceremony was held at Kadifekale Air Martyrs' Cemetery within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day events in Izmir. To the ceremony; İzmir Governor Süleyman Elban, Aegean Army and Garrison Commander General İrfan Özsert, İzmir Police Chief Celal Sel, İzmir Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Metin Düz, Coast Guard Aegean Sea Regional Commander Rear Admiral Tayfun Paşaoğlu, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay, Konak Mayor Nilüfer Çınarlı Mutlu, AK Party İzmir Provincial Chairman Bilal Saygılı, MHP İzmir Provincial Chairman Veysel Şahin, Martyr families and veterans attended.
The program, which started with the reading of the Holy Quran, continued with the prayer recited by Provincial Mufti Mevlüt Haliloğlu. At the ceremony, Izmir Governor Süleyman Elban signed the martyrdom book.
After the ceremony, Governor Süleyman Elban, protocol members and the military delegation visited the graves of the martyrs one by one and left carnations.
