Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office reported that 8,883 of the 26,614 suspects against whom legal action was taken regarding the investigations carried out against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) in the last 10 years were sent to prison, and 7,500 of them were subject to judicial control conditions.
In the statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, information was provided about the investigations carried out against FETO under the coordination of the Izmir Provincial Police Department and Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams from 15 July 2016 to 13 July 2026.
In this context, it was stated that 8 thousand 883 of the 26 thousand 614 suspects who were caught and prosecuted during the operations carried out by law enforcement units were sent to prison, and 7 thousand 500 were subject to judicial control conditions.
"All procedures have been carried out meticulously to ensure justice is served."
In the statement, "From the moment of the coup attempt by traitors who targeted the national will and the survival of our state on the night of July 15, 2016, the judicial processes against the FETO/PDY Armed Terrorist Organization were carried out uninterruptedly and decisively by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office." It was said.
The statement noted that a struggle was being carried out in line with the principle of the rule of law and included the following statements:
"All kinds of threats against our state have been dealt with uncompromisingly; all necessary procedures for the manifestation of justice have been meticulously carried out. This struggle, which has been carried out with the same faith and responsibility for 10 years, will continue with the same determination from now on, in line with the peace of our nation, the security of our state and the goals of the Turkish Century."
