Caucasian lizards, which appeared in Iğdır this year with the rise of air temperatures after rainy days, were seen sunbathing on the rocks warmed by the sun.
After most of the weather in Iğdır was rainy this year, and with the increase in air temperatures, Caucasian lizards began to be seen in their natural habitats again. Caucasian lizards, known to live in the Caucasus and the Eastern Anatolia Region of Türkiye, were transferred to the Karagüney village of Iğdır center. Caucasian lizards, which survive on the lava rocks at the foot of Mount Ararat and are among the species that are difficult to see in nature, sunbathed for a long time on the stones heated by the sun as the temperatures increased. Caucasian lizards, whose scientific name is "Paralaudakia caucasia", are among the cold-blooded reptiles.
