The body of mountaineer Sevim Yılmaz (58), who disappeared on AĞRI Mountain on March 22, was found 112 days later and was taken down from the mountain by the teams. The body of Yılmaz, who was taken to Doğubayazıt State Hospital, was sent to Erzurum Forensic Medicine Institute.
Sevim Yılmaz, who climbed Mount Ararat with a team of 5 people on March 22, left the group because she got tired at an altitude of 4,700 meters and wanted to return to the camp. A search operation was launched for Yılmaz, who did not return to the camp, but no results were obtained in winter conditions. Searches continued with the participation of AFAD Provincial Directorate, Provincial Gendarmerie Command, Provincial Police Department, UMKE, Special Provincial Administration, Van AFAD and Red Crescent teams as long as weather conditions allowed. The uninterrupted aerial reconnaissance of the Gendarmerie General Command's UAVs and UCAVs in the region, under difficult terrain conditions and adverse weather conditions, yielded results on July 11. During aerial reconnaissance, personal belongings believed to belong to the female climber were found on July 11, at the point where she was last seen. During the searches carried out at an altitude of 4 thousand 700 meters, the lifeless body of Sevim Yılmaz was also found.
A team of experts worked to remove Sevim Yılmaz's body from the region. As a result of his work, the body of the female mountaineer was taken down from Mount Ararat and taken to Doğubayazıt State Hospital. Sevim's body was sent to Erzurum Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy and DNA testing for definitive identification.
