Kilis Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams have increased their precautions against forest, stubble and canopy fires that may occur due to increasing temperatures in the summer and the start of crop harvest.
Preventive measures were taken to prevent possible fires in the Kilis Provincial Gendarmerie Command area of responsibility. In this context, motorized and pedestrian patrol activities have been increased in areas where forest areas, recreation areas and agricultural lands are densely located.
Gendarmerie teams inform citizens about the risks posed by stubble burning, vineyard and garden cleaning, and uncontrolled fire burning. While warning announcements are made from mosques in villages, citizens are warned with voice announcements from gendarmerie patrol vehicles in residential areas and risky areas.
While the early notification mechanism was strengthened by ensuring coordination with muhtars and citizens, it was reminded that in case of suspicious situations and smoke, the 112 Emergency Call Center should be reported immediately.
