Kütahya Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) Board of Directors continues its practice of keeping the names of industrialists who contributed to the development of the industrial zone and played an important role in the economic development of Kütahya on the streets.

In this context, by the decision of the Kütahya OSB Board of Directors, as of July 10, 2026, the name of the late Bekir Eskioğlu, who died on November 16, 2025 and contributed to the development and growth of the Organized Industrial Zone for many years, was given to the 5th Avenue. The name of businessman İsmet Güral, who was cited as an example with his contributions to industry, production and the country's economy, was given to 12th Street. The practice of keeping the names of industrialists alive on the streets in Kütahya OIZ had been implemented before. In this direction, on April 6, 2022, the 1st Street was renamed "Rıza Güral Street" and the 3rd Street was renamed "Necati Ünal Street", while on December 20, 2022, the 2nd Street was named "Nafi Güral Street" and the 4th Street was named "İrfan Sopakoymaz Street".

With the application, it is aimed to transfer the names of the industrialists who have played an important role in the development process of the Kütahya Organized Industrial Zone since its establishment and contributed to the production, employment and investment ecosystem, to future generations and to keep the institutional memory of the region alive.

Tolga Eskioğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kütahya Organized Industrial Zone, stated that the strong production infrastructure and investment climate that the industrial zone has today was formed thanks to the vision and sacrifices of industrialists who have made great efforts from the past to the present.

Expressing that they see keeping the memories of industrialists alive as a duty of loyalty, Eskioğlu said that the street names are not just a change of address, but a concrete indicator of the respect and gratitude towards the names that left their mark on the development of Kütahya industry. Eskioğlu stated that the application will introduce the names who contributed to the development of the industry to future generations and will contribute to the survival of their legacy. - KUTAHYA
