Bursa Commodity Exchange (Bursa TB) Chairman Özer Matlı, in his message published on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, emphasized that the determined stance taken by the Turkish nation against the treacherous coup attempt is one of the most important turning points in the history of democracy.
Stating that TOBB and the chamber-exchange community took a clear stance on the side of democracy on the night of July 15, Mayor Özer Matlı said:
"Exactly 10 years ago, our beloved nation stood as one heart and defended its national will in the face of the treacherous coup attempt that targeted the independence and future of our country. In that dark night, as the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the chambers and exchanges, we were among the institutions that showed the first institutional reaction against the coup attempt. He expressed in the strongest way that we stand by the national will and democracy. When it comes to the survival of our state and the future of our nation, as the business world, we continue to act with the same determination today as we did yesterday."
Pointing out that democracy is the most important guarantee of economic stability and sustainable development, Matlı continued as follows:
"The greatest strength of a country that produces, invests and provides employment is the environment of peace and stability. As Bursa Commodity Exchange, we see protecting the national will and democratic values as one of our most important responsibilities, while continuing our activities for the development of our country, strengthening of production and the state of our economy." - BURSA
