In the statement made by Niğde Governorship; It was reported that significant results were achieved in the public order, narcotics, smuggling, immigrant smuggling and traffic inspections carried out by the Provincial Police Department and Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams between 6-12 July 2026.
According to the statement; While legal proceedings were initiated against 312 suspects in public order incidents, 6 people were sent to prison. During the work, 4 shotguns, 30 shotgun cartridges, 3 pistols, 2 blank cartridges, 1 pistol magazine and 9 pistol cartridges were seized. 47 people wanted for various crimes were caught and handed over to the judicial authorities. While 19 suspects were caught during narcotic operations, 2 of them were sent to prison. During the operations, various amounts of drugs, 215 synthetic drugs and 3 drug use devices were seized. During the operations carried out within the scope of the Fight against Smuggling and Organized Crime, action was taken against 3 suspects, and a thousand liters of ethyl alcohol were seized. In the statement; It was stated that within the scope of activities to combat immigrant smuggling, legal proceedings were initiated against 7 foreign nationals and they were handed over to the Repatriation Center. As a result of the activities of the Crime Scene Investigation teams, 13 incidents were elucidated from body traces, and 14 perpetrators were identified in connection with the incidents.
It was stated that 36 thousand 986 vehicle drivers were checked during traffic inspections, administrative fines were imposed on 1699 drivers determined to have violated the rules and 172 vehicles were banned from traffic.
