In cooperation with the Turkish Ice Skating Federation and Erzurum Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, a meaningful commemoration program on the ice was organized in Palandöken on the 10th anniversary of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
The event was held at Palandöken 2000' Ice Skating Hall; Star and crescent National Team athletes, coaches and youth sports personnel trained within the Turkish Olympic Preparation Center (TOHM) and Athlete Training Center (SEM) attended. Young national athletes took to the ice rink in memory of the July 15 martyrs and held a meaningful ceremony with Turkish flags in their hands. A large Turkish Flag was unfurled by the athletes on the track.
Short Track (Speed Skating) athletes remembered the martyrs and veterans by bringing the spirit of national unity and solidarity to the ice rink on this meaningful day. - ERZURUM
