Akgül said that the facility, which is nearing completion, will be a great gain for Turkish wrestling. Stating that the sports complex under construction will pave the way for new successes, Akgül said, "Sivas is Türkiye's most successful province in wrestling. It is a city that has broken records and produced the most champions. The fact that there is such a sports center in this city is an indication that many more European, world and Olympic champions will emerge from Sivas. Of course, we would like to thank our Minister of Sports Aşkın Osman Bak, who gave us the greatest support here. He expressed this to us during his visit to Sivas, "This will be the temple of Turkish wrestling in Anatolia. Our champions will grow from here. Because Sivas is the city that has produced the most champions in wrestling in history, that is why we chose this location. This will be the place where all the best athletes in Anatolia meet," he said.

Stating that the project has reached its final stage, Akgül said, "Our TOHM center construction is coming to its final stage. It is even approaching the completion stage. I am following the project closely. We have been personally involved in the renovation of the accommodation and the renovation of the rooms. Our center will be a wrestling hall with 8 cushions. It will be a facility where we can hold our National Wrestling team camps. Not only TOHM and SEM, but also our National Wrestling team will camp here. Sivas will now become the center of wrestling. That is why we attach great importance to the project.
