An important activity was carried out in the Tavşanlı district of Kütahya, within the scope of the measures taken against forest fires.
A separating security strip was created between the power plant operating adjacent to the forest border and the forest area in the Gürağaç location, which is within the responsibility area of Tunçbilek Forest Management Directorate affiliated with Tavşanlı Forest Enterprise Directorate. The security strip, which was established to prevent possible fires from spreading to the forest area, was implemented in line with the general instructions that stipulate the full implementation of flame precautions in industrial facilities, factories and tourism areas within and adjacent to the forest.
Authorities stated that similar protective activities will be continued against the increased risk of flames, especially in summer months, and pointed out that it is of great importance for all institutions and organizations to meticulously implement the necessary measures to protect forests. - KUTAHYA
