Within the scope of the activities carried out to reveal and prevent the activities of criminal organizations under the coordination of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Istanbul Police Department Organized Crime Branch Directorate teams followed a passenger bus that was determined to be carrying unlicensed weapons to be shipped to criminal organizations.
The teams stopped the bus at the police enforcement point on the TEM Highway in Tuzla on July 8. During the checks carried out on the vehicle, a specially prepared secret compartment behind the spare fuel tank was detected. During the searches carried out in the secret compartment, 120 unlicensed weapons and 120 magazines were seized. During the operation, 4 suspects were detained and the bus was seized. 4 suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, were sent to prison by the court.
