ISTANBUL Governorship organized an award ceremony for the students who came first with 500 full points in the central exam within the scope of the High School Transition System (Lgs). Explaining that full-score students who choose high schools in Istanbul will be provided with scholarships throughout their education life, and that transportation support will be covered by the foundation for students coming from outside the city, Governor Gül said, "We offer scholarships to all students who get full scores, both students in our Istanbul and students who study in Anatolia and choose Istanbul, regardless of whether their families' economic situation is weak or not, by evaluating them only with the success criterion. We will continue to provide this scholarship throughout their education life. We will continue to give this scholarship to all students who came here from Anatolia and those who will continue their education in Istanbul. "In addition to the students who score points, we also give four tickets under the sponsorship of AJet. There will be transportation support from us when you go on holiday, from us when you come back, and from us when you go in June," he said.
Gifts were given to 102 students who got 500 full points from the LGS exam of the 'Istanbul Children Foundation', which was established by the Governorship of Istanbul and chaired by Davut Gül, at the program held in the garden of the Governorship. In the program attended by families, students and district governors, photos were taken with the students who were ranked. It was announced that the Istanbul Children's Foundation will provide scholarships to students who get full scores throughout their high school education, and that the foundation will provide transportation for students living outside the city who will complete their high school education in Istanbul. Speaking at the program, Governor of Istanbul Davut Gül said, "102 of our students and siblings in our Istanbul were more successful in the exams than others. They achieved academic success. As the Istanbul Children Foundation, the Istanbul Children Foundation is a foundation with a board of trustees chaired by the Governor of Istanbul and with various activities for successful children, gifted children and disadvantaged children. We have a 'Children of the Turkey Century' project for gifted children, which we carry out together with our students. We are doing the fourth one this year. Full marks."
