President of the Supreme Court of Appeals Ömer Kerkez said, "Our judicial organization has acted without compromising the rule of law since that dark night, and has undertaken an important responsibility for the administration of justice by resolutely demonstrating its commitment to democracy and the rule of law." he said.
Kerkez, in his message published on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, stated that the Turkish nation defended its democracy, independence and national will on the night of July 15, 2016 and put forward an epic struggle that went down in history in golden letters.
Kerkez stated that the treacherous coup attempt targeting the state and the constitutional order was failed with the unique courage of the nation, the sacrifice of the security forces and the determined stance of state institutions, and said:
"Since that dark night, our judicial organization has acted without compromising the rule of law, has resolutely demonstrated its commitment to democracy and the rule of law, and has undertaken an important responsibility for the administration of justice.
July 15 will always be remembered as one of the strongest symbols of our nation's spirit of unity and solidarity and its unwavering commitment to its state and democracy. "On this occasion, I remember with mercy and gratitude our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the survival of our country, and I wish our hero veterans a life full of health, peace and well-being."
