Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy made a statement regarding his meeting with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who was in the capital Kiev as part of his official visit to Ukraine. In his post on his social media account, Zelenskiy said, "I met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and presented him with the Second Degree Order of Merit of Ukraine. I would like to thank both Türkiye and the Minister for their efforts to ensure peace."
Zelenskiy stated that he informed Minister Fidan about the course of the Russia-Ukraine War and said, "Today, we discussed steps that can revive the diplomatic process and efforts to achieve peace. I informed him about the latest situation on the front. Mr. Fidan also made evaluations about the diplomatic contacts he carried out at different levels."
The Ukrainian leader said, "We also discussed our bilateral relations and the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey. We expect the trade volume between the two countries to continue to grow. I would like to thank him for his visit and support for the advancement of cooperation and peace." - KYIV
